Description

This upgraded, spacious 2 bedroom plus loft, 3 bathroom condo is located in a quiet part of town with lots of complex amenities to enjoy like outdoor pool, jacuzzi, public BBQ areas, and tennis court. Relax by the wood-burning fireplace, watch a movie with the family, or cook a meal in the fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen features all granite countertops, open floorpan, and bar seating. The loft is a perfect spot for the kids to hang out and watch TV with their own private space.

The master bedroom features a King bed, flat screen TV with DVD player, and en-suite attached bathroom with granite countertops and shower. The second bedroom has a Queen bed, flatscreen TV with DVD player, and access to the hallway bathroom with granite countertops and tub/shower combo. The loft upstairs features a Double bed, 3 Twin beds, flatscreen TV with DVD player, and upgraded bathroom with remodeled shower. The unit has private washer and dryer, making it a convenient home away from home.

Horizons 4 is just a short walk to Vons, restaurants, movie theatre, and is right next to Sierra Star Golf Course! All guests receive complimentary full access to Snowcreek Athletic Club to enjoy facilities including indoor heated pool, steam/sauna, full fitness facility, yoga, pilates and cycle studio and more. This condo sleeps a maximum of 9 people, there are 17 steps to the unit, 2 levels inside, and no smoking or pets are permitted. Guests will be provided two parking passes. Overall, it was a nice place to stay. There were a few things... the fire place doesn't draw well making it very difficult to have a fire (we are well familiar with fireplaces) and the master shower is small. But the place felt spacious, the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and dishes, and each room had adequate surface space to put bags - something that is inexplicably missing in most rentals.

This is our 2nd time staying in unit 166; We love the location in town (walking distance to grocery and restaurants, other conveniences; 5 minute drive to The Village, and 15 minute drive to Lake Mary, etc.), and the unit is laid out comfortably and is well equipped. There are 5 of us and we like the sleeping arrangements and the 3 full baths. It is generally clean and well maintained. The club house is also clean and has enough attractions to keep older teens occupied (when not out hiking or fishing!) We would rent this unit again.<br/>**Note to management/owner: We have a few suggestions for maintenance/upkeep that we did not report to the maintenance phone number during our stay: The couches are in serious need of professional cleaning and sanitation as it would appear another occupant kept a small animal (maybe a short haired dog-?) which left its fur all over the couches. We say this because several members of our family are allergic to pet dander and all who sat in the couches went into full respiratory allergic reaction and we found short white pet hair on our clothing after sitting on the couches. We were under the impression that this rental is NOT pet friendly--several reasons why we came back to this rental a 2nd time. Carpets could use a good deep cleaning too. Master bath shower could use a new shower head- its flow was strong but not so much as a "spray" and the current shower head could not be adjusted to change the water stream. Lastly, put small soap dishes in all the baths- keeps things tidy when using the bar soaps that are left for the occupants.<br/>The only other issue was the power went out in the locality for around 15-20 minutes one early evening-- we think the outage included the complex and other surrounding areas. Maybe include info in your rental materials on where the power panel is in the unit and include other emergency numbers for the utilities, in addition to the management's emergency numbers. We received our keys to the unit before the 5pm check-in time, for which we were grateful. We found the unit clean and tidy, well stocked with all the necessities (except food/drink). All appliances were in proper working condition, and furnishings provided ample space for family of 5 (including 3 big teenage boys!). Very comfortable. All three baths were clean and usable and updated; Although the master bath, with a newer sink & cabinetry, had a shower stall that appeared to be original but in working condition. Location: just 3 or 4 blocks from Vons shopping center (walking distance), so is central Mammoth Lakes, which we prefer. Self drive to all the lakes basin attractions and ski areas are short and scenic, and the unit is in walking distance to the various transit bus stops (if that mode of transportation is preferred). We dined in local eateries (Giovanni's and Burgers), and cooked home-made meals in the well-equipped kitchen. The layout of the unit flows well. Access to the local sports/athletic club was a plus (and we used it almost daily). Don't know how comfortable this unit would be in winter, be we definitely recommend it for the summertime.

We had a great time and everything was very clean and well stocked with the basics for the trip. We highly recommend Mammoth Sierra Reservations for renting in Mammoth.
